Please note: While using Demeter's Terracotta Primer can significantly reduce grout haze, it cannot guarantee 100% prevention. Some residual staining may still occur, depending on tile porosity and site conditions. However, if the correct grout is used, any remaining haze can typically be removed using Athena's Heavy Duty Tile Cleaner.

Instructions:

• Surface Cleaning and Preparation: Begin with a clean, dry surface. For the deepest penetration, wash the tiles with Athena’s Heavy Duty Tile Cleaner to banish any dirt and stains before sealing.

• Dilution Instructions: 
  • Low-absorbent clays: Dilute 1 part Primer : 3 parts water

  • Highly absorbent handmade clays: Dilute 1 part Primer: 1 part water
    The right blend ensures flawless penetration and long-lasting protection.

• Product Application Before Tile Installation:
  • Immerse each tile in the diluted primer for 15–20 seconds. This pre-treatment locks out moisture and keeps tiles pristine throughout installation.
• Product Application After Tile Installation:

  • Apply evenly to clean, dry surfaces with a brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer.

  • Let the primer soak in for 15–20 minutes.

  • Reapply on thirsty surfaces if needed.

  • Wipe away excess to avoid surface residue.
