The LiLi Tile Team is Proud to Announce Our Newest Series of Terracotta Tiles - The LiLi Terra Collection

It’s been almost a decade since the LiLi Tile Team debuted our first collection of colorful cement tiles, bringing vibrant hues and patterns to residential and commercial design projects across the United States. Since then, we’ve expanded our product line to include porcelain glaze, mother of pearl, terrazzo, and brass inlay tiles as well as collaborations with top designers for our cement tile lines. Now, we’re excited to announce the debut of our newest product line: The Terra Collection. Like our renowned Cement Collection, these terracotta tiles are made with an age-old process for a beautiful, authentic look. Get the scoop on the newest tiles in the LiLi Family.

Everything You Need to Know About the New LiLi Terracotta Tile Collection

We are so excited to share the new LiLi Terra Collection with you. Here is everything you need to know about our new terracotta tiles and some inspiration for your next project.

The Process

At LiLi Tile, we believe in honoring tried and true manufacturing processes. Our new line of terracotta tiles is no different. All of the tiles in the LiLi Terra Collection are handmade from natural clay and baked in a traditional wood oven. Unlike gas kilns, the wood oven is beautifully unpredictable, giving our terracotta tiles variation and a one-of-a-kind look. As a result, no tile will ever be exactly the same, creating an authentic, rustic product that feels right at home in historic renovations and adds unsurpassed character to new construction projects.

The Colors

The Terra Collection is made from three color variations of natural clay: white, red, and charcoal.

White Clay

A lighter take on traditional terracotta, our White Clay color variation features warm cream, blush, beige, and burnt orange hues.

Red Clay

A traditional terracotta, our Red Clay palette brings traditional warmth to any space and features terracotta red, burnt orange, and rich brown hues.

Charcoal Clay

A darker take on traditional terracotta, our Charcoal Clay variation features moody tones of light and dark charcoal, burnt orange, and rich brown.

The Installation

Our terracotta tile line is beautiful and durable. These tiles are suitable for floor and wall applications in residential and commercial spaces. Because of their wide, natural color variation, we recommend a dry lay prior to installation to ensure desired color distribution. Since the material is handmade using a centuries-old process, there will be slight differences in thickness and size between tiles. Therefore, we recommend installing these tiles with a large, traditional grout line to minimize error and to create the classic, authentic look associated with the product. We recommend sealing post-installation to preserve the tile and to maintain the beauty of the natural clay coloring.

Terracotta Tile Inspiration for Your Home or Business

Terracotta tiles are often associated with Spanish, Mission, Mediterranean, and Pueblo architecture. However, with the proper application, terracotta tiles can make a beautiful design impact in any space. For example, you can often find terracotta tile in Mid-century Modern, Contemporary, and Transitional homes. At LiLi Tile, our goal is always to empower our customers with beautiful, durable products to express their personal style and add a dash of color to their lives. We can’t wait to see what you create with our new Terra Collection.
